In 1972, on a family trip to the Baja Peninsula, I fell in love with Mexico. The people, the place, the food and the art. Many years later I started buying the folk art and it turned into a business with 2 retail shops and a wholesale outlet. I built warm relationships with the artisans; the feeling of mutual gratitude and respect (along with shared chiles rellenos) grounded the venture. I had to take some years off when I had a son who needed attention, but now that he's older I am jumping back in with beautiful Otomi embroidery, bright and fun hand punched ornaments and some whimsical woodcarvings from Oaxaca. I still work directly with the artisans. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
